Change in higher education within my Major

There has been a lot changes in higher Education, not only within my Major but overall. In the 1960's, the Major Legal Studies didn't exist in most Colleges. Students who wanted to enter the field of Law had to Pre-Law or obtain  a degree from another program that would benefit from for the field for example, History, English, Communications, Criminal Justice, etc. But now based on the changes that have been made to the higher Education system the Legal Studies Program has increase and is now being offered to over 3,000 Colleges in the U.S. Since this program has become popular it is easier to transfer to an accredited University with a B.A. in Legal Studies without having to worry. Also the prerequisites for this program has increased and they are also able to keep you focus on the political underpinnings of law, law enforcement and other aspects of criminal justice as well as psychological influences on evidence, trials, decision-making,etc.
