Teachers play a huge part in student’s lives by
encouraging, supporting and challenging students. Whenever a teacher says uplifting
words such as, “Come on, you can do it...you've got this!” to “Hey, I believe
you can achieve more; give it your all!” a student becomes motivated and more
successful. A teacher is also a student’s supporter, whenever a memorable
teacher conveys a belief that students could succeed. This goes beyond
encouraging words to crafting assignments to fit their needs, personal
after-school tutoring, etc.
As a teacher, you also have to be caring towards
your students. Students love whenever a teacher shows that they care about them
and has the students' best interests in mind. Good teachers demonstrated
liking, respect, and a desire for students to do well. Investment also plays a
part in a teacher’s life. Teachers who go beyond the call of duty to invest in
their students outside of the classroom and take an interest in their lives are
known to be a student’s role model.
Being a teacher, you also want to see students ace
your classes but you also want to be known as a challenger to students. These
teachers set high standards and pushed students to excel, calling out the best
from them. They didn't just raise the bar, though; they also know how to help
their students jump over it and this is how teachers influence students.
