In today’s economy the cost of college has risen and
it affects the average American. As a general rule, studying at private colleges
costs four times more than attending a public school. For example, South
University vs. Palm Beach State, South University is considered a private for-profit
schools owned by Education Management Corporation (E.D.M.C). On the other hand
Palm Beach State College is a public state college in Lake Worth, Florida,
which is a member institution of the Florida College System.
Usually, students try to attend a junior college for
the first two years and then complete their degree at a larger university, in
order to save more money and have a lower student loan debt. Also, tuition
differences between in-state and out-of-state students can be another way of
saving money. Because the cost of college tuition has sky rocket, more students
are considering trade school, for example, Security, Nurse Aide, etc.
Colleges cost a lot and in today’s society employers
are asking for a lot, from experience in the field to an Associates/Bachelor’s
Degree. In order to be qualified, we as candidates have to make ourselves
better and in order to make ourselves better, it will cost a lot.
